25 Weeks - 350 Hours
Our Nail Technician training course at LaJames College incorporates 350 hours (25 weeks) of theory and hands-on learning to provide you a complete understanding of nails and their care. This beauty school program leads to a diploma which entitles the graduate to apply for an Iowa Nail Technician licensing exam.
Nail technician salons have found a strong place in the cosmetology field in the past 10 years.
We use our hands and feet to express our inner most being. The shape, cleanliness, color and length of nails bring out one’s personality and gives confidence to the wearer. A manicure given on a regular basis helps the natural healthy growth of the nails of the hands and feet.
You are limited only by your imagination – dare it… do it… make it real!
For Example we will cover: Nail Tips, Nail Wraps, Airbrushing, Nail Artistry, Manicuring, OPI Sculpture Nails, OPI Gel Nails, Paraffin Treatments, Electric Nail Drill, Nail Salon Management, Proper Sanitation, Pedicures, Reflexology, Electric Filing, Being a Nail Consultant or a Nail Technician or a Manicurist & Pedicurist just to name a few.

Literally, we put everything we could think of into this course. This course is taught in the evening only from 5:30pm to 9:30pm Monday through Thursdays.

This 350 hour program (25 weeks in length) combines theory lecture and one-on-one training to help prepare you to become a successful nail technician. Upon graduation you will have the opportunity to obtain licensing by successfully passing the Iowa State exam.
